surprisingly quiet and clean stay

the reception staff were helpful and cheerful at check-in and check-out. the room presentation and cleanliness stood out. the hotel was quiet despite its proximity to the busy stratford road. i had a good night's rest as a result.
i stayed in a room that smelled strongly of stale smoke. it was unpleasant as a non-smoker. i couldn't change rooms since the hotel was full that night!
